Trenton Speedway Indycar races

Trenton Speedway held many Indycar races in it's time, from the late 1950's through the final race in 1979.

Not far from our home, our grandparents often went their to watch local drivers like Mario Andretti, Eddie Sachs, Al Loquasto and Bobby Marshman.

Racer Magazine's Robin Miller linked to a Trenton race in his mailbag this week. We had such a great time watching it so we wanted to share the video of the 1978 Indycar race at Trenton Speedway with our readers.  Thanks Mr. Miller!

Pocono Raceway 1971 Introduction

Our mom found this article from the 1971 Schaeffer 500 Program.

We thought you might like it too, since the Pocono Indycar 400 is the first Indycar race at this unique track since 1989.

so we'll be sharing lots of old memorabilia till the race.



The Inaugural Race Program. 

The race was part of the Triple Crown with Ontario and Indianapolis.

Not sure what the 1776 is for.

 

 

 

 

Local drivers Mario Andretti and Mark Donahue were both in the race.

Donnie Allison and Cale Yarbrough represented Nascar drivers in the race.
