Indianapolis Month of May 2015

The month of May 2015 is here!!!

Opening Day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was Sunday, May 3 as Indycar teams took to the oval track
to test out the new oval aero kits.

Robin Miller interviews Juan Montoya (Chevy) and Marco Andretti (Honda)  to see what they thought of the new cars.

9 Days till Pocono Indycar 500

Only 9 days remaining till the Pocono Indycar 500!!

Can Marco Andretti win the pole again?
Can he dominate the whole race this year,
or will fuel mileage play a role again?

One thing we know for sure?
The race will be exciting and we can't wait!

Andretti on the Pole for Milwaukee

* Marco won the pole for Saturday's Milwaukee Indyfest breaking the track record.  I'm sure his dad (Michael also his car owner) would appreciate a win for Father's Day.

*Andretti Autosport looks to have a good shot at winning Saturday with all four of their cars (Marco, Hinchcliffe 2nd, Hunter-Reay 4th and E.J. Viso 5th) starting in the top 5.

*Ana Beatriz is back driving the #18 car for Dale Coyne Racing which she drove for 5 races earlier this season.

*Ryan Briscoe will be running the #4 Panther car at the track where he got his first Indycar win back in 2008.

*With Chevy sweeping the top 7 positions, Josef Newgarden was the highest qualifying Honda in 8th.

Marco Andretti

Here are some fun facts on Marco Andretti

Marco was nice enough to answer some questions for us about himself.

*Doesn't have his own pets because of traveling, but takes care of his moms dogs Bo, Dallara, and Manola when he is home

*He said his worst habit is sleeping in

*His least favorite childhood chore was picking up the leaves

*If he was stranded on a deserted island and had to pick a driver to stay with him,
he would pick James Hinchcliffe, because Hinch is funny

*Was the 2006 Indy 500 and the Indycar series rookie of the year

*Finished second in the 2006 Indianapolis 500 as a rookie, after getting passed on the 4th turn of the last lap by Sam Hornish Jr

*Became the 4th Andretti to win the Rookie of the year award

Hinchliffe Wins in Brazil

James Hinchcliffe wins his second Indycar race.

* We thought it was the best Indycar road race ever

* Takuma Sato had second podium finish in a row and is first in points

*  Marco Andretti finished third and is second in points

* Josef Newgarden almost won and finished 5th but they still didn't interview him after the race (our little sister Alexandra was a bit upset about that)
