* Scott Dixon won the pole on the final lap of qualifying, beating Will Power, Simon Pagenaud, Justin Wilson, Josef Newgarden and rookie Tristan Vautier.
* Tony Kanaan will make his 212th consecutive Indycar start breaking Jimmy Vasser's record.
* Stefan Wilson will be making his Indycar debut teaming up with his brother Justin at Dale Coyne Racing.

* Lots of airborne cars during practice and qualifying should make for some interesting racing Sunday!* Turn 6 was repaved on Friday night to try to smooth it out.
