Indycar News


THUMBS UP!

*  Ryan Hunter-Reay won the ESPY for Driver of the Year on July 17th at the 21st annual event.
(He was the first Indycar driver since Jimmy Vasser, in 1997 to win the award)
CONGRATULATIONS RYAN!!!



*  Lots going on August 2nd-4th at Mid-Ohio in addition to the Honda Indy 200.   

Tons of racing including the  Pirelli World Challenge Championship  Races, USF 2000 Races, Pro Mazda championship, and the Firestone Indy Lights race.

Graham Rahal has gotten a new engineer, Neil Feif who was the race engineer for the team's most recent victory back in 2008 with Ryan Hunter-Reay.

James Davison, the 2009 Indy Lights runner up to JR Hildebrand will be making his Indycar debut at Mid-Ohio racing for Dale Coyne.



THUMBS DOWN.

*  No word yet if Ryan Briscoe will be racing at Mid-Ohio due to the broken wrist he suffered in Race 1 in Toronto.  He was replaced by rookie Carlos Munoz in Race 2 at Toronto.
